Global challenges such as population growth, increasing demand for agricultural land, and the widening gap between the supply and demand for wood, all require us to use natural resources even more efficiently.
Sustainable forest and plantation management help secure long-term availability of timber to meet the ever growing demands for wood products while easing the pressure of deforestation on bio-diverse old growth forests. We always ensure that the plantations we harvest wood from are duly regenerated.
We propagate a number of trees species, our primary timber production is focused on planting sustainable elite hybrid Paulownia timber. Paulownia is one of the fastest growing trees in the world reaching 4.5 meters (16 feet) in its first year and 19 meters (65 feet) overall.
The wood is very light, fine-grained, and warp-resistant. Ideal for construction, low-cost modular homes, paneling, doors, window frames, exterior and interior roof panels, shutters, furniture, surfboards, layered in skis and snowboards, as well as furniture and anywhere light, strong and visually attractive timber is required, such as boats, aircraft and even wind-turbine blades use Paulownia.
